ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Tuesday’s Brown County Commission meeting, Summit Carbon Solutions Project Manager Kylie Lange provided an update.
Lange address the issue of aviation fuel and comparing it to the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Lange talks about SAF which stands for Sustainable Aviation Fuel.
Lange talks about the best option for SAF is using ethanol for this.
Lange reminds the commission that without the pipeline that Gevo will not operate in South Dakota.
Commissioner Mike Wiese asked Summit what they’re expecting from the Commission. Summit’s Senior Director, Erik Schovanec answered that question.
Another issue Kylie Lange expressed during the meeting is not getting the opportunity to meet with the Planning & Zoning Commission on an individual basis.
Commission Mike Gage offered a response to that.
Former Commissioner and spokesman for the landowners, Dennis Feickert express concerns about the $50,000 plus $1,000 per mile the pipeline is projected to go through the counties.
Lange responded to the issue that this is a bribe to the counties.
Summit is still waiting on a date for their reconsideration hearing with the North Dakota Public Service Commission.
