ABERDEEN, S.D.(Aberdeen Insider)- The Aberdeen Area Arts Council is looking for a new executive director.

Steve Thithavong, who had been with the arts council for about a year, has accepted a position as compliance and information officer in Aberdeen’s city finance office.

Angie Cleberg, president of the Aberdeen Area Arts Council Board of Directors, said Ththavong starts his position with the city on Nov. 6. She said former arts council Executive Director Stacy Braun will be helping during the leadership transition. The board hopes to have a new executive director in place soon.
