OMAHA, N.E.(KJJQ)- The economy in the nine-state Mid America region that includes South Dakota remained sluggish in October.

That from Creighton University Economist Ernie Goss who compiles a monthly survey of manufacturing supply managers is this region.

Goss says hiring was “not good” in October.

He says inflation is moving downward.

Goss says 60-percent of the supply managers he surveyed expect an economic downturn in the next six months.
