ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Tuesday’s Brown County Commission meeting, the commissioner received suggestions on the future of the Brown County Fair.
Fair Manager Rachel Kippley talks about a new event to attract more interest on coming out Sunday at the fair.
Commissioners agreed to this suggestion.
Kippley also update the commission on the potential for a new roof at the Holum Expo Building.
South Dakota Farmers Union Education Specialist Samantha Olson provide information on an idea for an Agricultural Learning Center to be the fairgrounds.
Olson believes this would be a good educational tool going forward.
Kippley tells the commission that the Brown County Fair Board is in favor of this concept.
The Brown County fairgrounds would be the third location to have the learning center in South Dakota. The other two locations are the Sioux Empire Fair in Sioux Falls & the South Dakota State Fair in Huron.
