OMAHA, Neb. (WNAX) – Levels of Missouri River reservoirs are not falling very fast.
Mike Swenson with the Corps of Engineers in Omaha says they still are using flood capacity in several of the big lakes.
Swenson says river flows will have to stay high.
Flows from Ft. Randall Dam have increased to 67,000 cubic feet per second.
Swenson says Lake Oahe went up a bit in the last week.
The Corps has said run off this year will be second highest on record, only behind the flood year of 2011.
