OMAHA, N.E.(KELO)- Manufacturing jobs are on the decline in our region…but not in South Dakota.

Creighton University’s Mid-America Manufacturing Index was in positive territory last month…but not by much.

Economist, Dr. Ernie Goss says the manufacturing sector of the economy lost jobs last month and is trying to climb out of a mild recession from last year.

South Dakota’s manufacturing exports expanded slightly, but was the only state in the nine-state regional survey that showed manufacturing job growth.
