PIERRE, S.D.(KELO)- They’re still waiting to see what legislators will do on pipelines.

South Dakota Farmers Union President Doug Sombke gives lawmakers high marks on carbon capture pipelines except on one bill.

That bill would override safety setback rules set by county governments(SB201).

Legislative leaders say they’re trying to find middle ground that would treat landowners and pipeline companies fairly.

A series of pipeline bills are expected to face debate Monday at the House Commerce and Energy Committee.
