Jamestown, ND (NSUWolves.com) [FRI] – The Northern State softball team swept Friday contests with wins over Valley City State and Dickinson State. The Wolves racked of 16 runs off of 22 hits in the two wins.

HOW IT HAPPENED vs VALLEY CITY STATE
- Avarie Eagle kicked off the day with a single to right field, scoring Claire Zbylut to put the Wolves ahead
- In the fourth inning NSU extended their lead after a bases loaded walk from Zbylut, scoring Alysa Lowe, a single by Eagle, scoring Zbylut and Ashley Fauske to bring the Wolves lead to 4-0
- Northern State added to their lead as Elly Smith drove one to left field for a double, scoring pinch runner, Brooke Wolf, Lexi Chase doubling to left field scoring, Smith and Emma Owens, and Eagle hitting a sac-fly to right field bringing in Chase

HOW IT HAPPENED vs VALLEY CITY STATE
- The Vikings were the first to score in the second inning after a single to center field
- Northern State responded in the second inning as Elly Smith scoring Taylor Coleman, a player choice scored Kamdyn Barrientos to put the Wolves ahead, 2-1
- They added to their lead in the third inning with Coleman with a single scoring Lexi Chase and Ashley Fauske, after an error by the right fielder Coleman scored
- In the third inning, Smith drove on to right center for a double scoring Barriento to put the Northern up 6-1
- Barrientos reached on a fielder choice in the fifth inning bringing in Coleman after an error, Jone grounded out to short stop scoring Barriento, and Fauske knocked her second triple of the season scoring pinch runner, Brooke Wolf
