SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – South Dakota Senator and Minority Whip John Thune has chosen the candidate he’s supporting in the Republican primary.

FOX News reported that Thune spoke with former President Trump over the phone after his decisive victory in the South Carolina primary and gave him his endorsement.

Trump’s last remaining challenger in the primary, Nikki Haley set her sights on Michigan after securing a little under 40% of the votes in Saturday’s contest in her home state.

“We’re headed to Michigan tomorrow. And we’re headed to the Super Tuesday states throughout all of next week. We’ll keep fighting for America and we won’t rest until America wins,” Haley said.

Voters in Michigan cast their ballots in the Republican primary on Tuesday.
