SCOTTSDALE, A.Z.(HubCityRadio)- House Minority Leader Oren Lesmeister of Parade was at the National Farmers Union in Scottsdale, AZ. Among the topics addressed was what the South Dakota Legislature did to address pipeline-related topics & what he hopes to see on the upcoming Farm Bill.

Lesmeister talks about bills that he helped contributed with through the Conference Committee. Starting with SB201 dealing with local control & how far they could amend the bill to insure that it would pass.
Lesmeister discuss what he believes is a significant win for landowners.
Lesmeister talks about the Landowners Bill of Rights that was included in the bills & and the amount of feedback received from those for & against the pipelines.
One aspect of the Bill of Rights not included was the issue of eminent domain. Lesmeister explains why that was not included.
Lesmeister also discussed HB1185 that would require notice needed in order for surveying to be done.
Lesmeister in Scottsdale also addressed what he would like to see in the upcoming Farm Bill.
Lesmeister also discuss a bill dealing which will require labels saying made in U.S.A. are coming from in the United States.
Lesmeister feels this will bring more confidence to consumers here in this country.
