SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- Sioux Falls is growing…in more ways than one.

Along with population growth, there’s also a growing number of traffic offenses…and a higher risk of serious accidents.

Police Chief Jon Thum (TOOM) says his department is teaming up with the Sheriff’s Department and Highway Patrol to conduct saturation patrols…and violations are on the rise.

Chief Thum says the saturation patrols are focused on eliminating the most serious and dangerous violations.
