Brown County Drug & DUI Court to hold graduation ceremony

ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)—The Brown County Drug & DUI Court team invites the public to join them in recognizing the remarkable accomplishments of participants completing the program. A graduation ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. CDT in the Brown County Community Room in the basement of the Brown County Courthouse, 25 Market St., Aberdeen.

With their friends, family, team members and other program participants in attendance, those who have gone through this intensive program and have successfully completed all phases will be honored. Each graduate will share their experience and the people who helped them through their journey.

The commencement ceremony is open to the public, media and cameras. After the ceremony, there will be an opportunity to take pictures and speak with the graduates. The treatment court team will provide treats and refreshments.

Brown County Drug & DUI Court’s mission is to provide public safety and reduce costs by providing a judicially-supervised program of intensive treatment and accountability for substance dependent participants, with the goal of transforming them into contributing members of our community.

“Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending,” said writer Carl Bard.
