ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- With Flandreau & Yankton tribes on the brink on banning Governor Kristi Noem from appearing on their tribal lands.  That would make all nine tribes banning Governor Noem.  Representative Tamara St. John is a member of the Sisseton Wahpton Oyate.  She discusses some of the issues between the tribes and the Governor.

Representative St. John comment on how the tribes have reacted to comments about made by Governor Noem regarding the drug issues on the reservations.

Lake Traverse Reservation covers both North and South Dakota as well as Standing Rock Reservation.  St. John was asked if she heard similar concerns coming from North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum.

Flandreau Indian Reservation has a resolution out being demanding an apology from the Governor, is also calling for the resignation of Tribal Relation Secretary Dave Flute.  Flute is also a member of the Sisseton Wahpton Oyate tribe.  St. John comments on that request.

St. John & Senator Michael Rohl are co-chairs of the State Tribal Relation Committee.  She comments on what the committee can do to address this issue.

Beside requesting Flute to resign, Flandreau’s resolution also request for removal of both Representative St. John & Senator Rohl as co-chairs of that committee.  Senator Lee Schoenback has already indicated that Rohl will remain chair.  Representative JD Wangsness(House Majority Whip) believes she will remain chair for the House side.
