WATERTOWN, S.D.(KXLG)- Summer is nearing, and the temperatures are rising, bringing out motorcycle riders. Soon, it will be time for the annual Sturgis motorcycle rally, which temporarily increases Sturgis’ population to hundreds of thousands of people and bikers during the rally. Visit Watertown is participating in the Travel SD marketing campaign “Rally Rush!”

Rally Rush is an initiative to welcome riders with South Dakota hospitality.

The rally may be held in Sturgis on the opposite side of the state, but Watertown is more than just a pitstop for some riders.

Visit Watertown will be contacting businesses inquiring about who wants to participate.

The Rally Rush campaign invites communities across South Dakota to warmly welcome riders, showcasing the state’s renowned, world-class hospitality. Recognizing the significant economic impact of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Travel South Dakota is thrilled to announce this partnership with local entities. Regional tourism associations, CVBs, chambers of commerce, economic development corporations/offices, and civic organizations are eligible for up to $500 in grant funds.
