Class AA Girls State Tournament [Day 1 of 2] @ Hillcrest CC, Yankton, SD. 

Yankton, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – After the first day at the State AA girls golf tournament in Yankton, the current leader in the clubhouse is the sophomore from Aberdeen Central, Olivia Braun. After netting a par on the first hole of the day, Braun sunk three straight birdies on the next three holes (all par fours) to get off to a white hot start. Even though she had a few bogeys on the day, particularly on the back nine, all told, she holds a three shot lead over second place, Allison Meyerink from Mitchell. Collectively as a team, the Golden Eagles are just one stroke behind Mitchell and in second place. The Arrows of Watertown are only one shot behind Aberdeen Central and in third place; setting up a furious fight to the finish for the state championship(s) on Tuesday from Hillcrest CC.
