CASTLEWOOD, SD (KXLG) – Governor Kristi Noem will be presenting a Carnegie medal this weekend to Chris Schaefer of Castlewood, South Dakota.   She says the medal, which has been given out across the nation for more than 100 years, recognizes a person who has stepped up to help another individual.

Governor Noem talked about the significance of the medal presentation Saturday.

The presentation will be made in Castlewood over the noon hour.
