SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – A man riding a motorcycle in Sioux Falls was kidnapped at gunpoint over the weekend.
Sioux Falls Police say a man and a woman were riding a motorcycle just before 10 p.m. on Saturday when they noticed a vehicle following them for around 10 minutes.
The motorcycle pulled into a parking lot at the corner of 8th Street and N. Dakota Ave. The vehicle followed and several people got out of the vehicle and pulled the man into the car at gunpoint.
The woman was able to run away and call for help. She did not know the people in the vehicle.
The vehicle was eventually located near 12th Street and Lyndale Avenue with the man still inside and mostly unharmed. The suspects had taken him out of town, assaulted him and brought him back. He had minor injuries.
Police say a few of the people involved were juveniles and their details cannot be shared, but two adults were arrested. Those arrested include Dani Lyric White, 19, of Tea and Danica L. Emahazien, 20, of Sioux Falls.
Police say the people in the vehicle do know the man, but they do not know why the incident happened.
