PIERRE, S.D.(KELO)- A Legislative study committee goes to work in Pierre today on Artificial Intelligence and protecting minors on the internet.
Lawmakers were unable to agree on a bill to establish age restrictions on some internet sites during this year’s legislative session, so they’re trying again.
Attorney General Marty Jackley says a bill that was passed this year is a good starting point for their work.
Jackley says age restrictions are needed on many websites.
The committee will work to create a package of proposals for the Legislature to consider next year.
