The celebration of life service for Shawn Loomis, 36, of Aberdeen, SD, will be 2:00pm, Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Red Rooster Coffee House. Shawn died Saturday, July 6, 2024, at home in Aberdeen, SD.

Shawn Michael Loomis was born in Burnsville, MN on December 4, 1987, to Ronald Loomis and Vileen Olson-Holmes. He had one brother, Jeffrey Loomis and one sister, Jasmine Holmes. He was raised in Aberdeen by his mother and stepfather Roberto Holmes. Shawn attended Howard Hedger and Lincoln Elementary schools and graduated with the class of 2006 from Aberdeen Central High School.

Shawn was very friendly and outgoing. He very much enjoyed walking around town, spending time with friends at the Red Rooster playing video games, and anything to do with Sci-Fi or Mythology. He did odd jobs around town to earn money

Grateful for having shared Shawn’s life are his sister Jasmine Holmes, his father Ronald Loomis, and niece Aundraia Holmes.

Preceding Shawn in death are his mother Vileen Olson-Holmes & stepfather Roberto Holmes and brother Jeffrey Loomis.
