YANKTON, S.D.(KELO)- It’s the equivalent of the “Golden Spike” that marked completion of the nation’s first coast-to-coast rail line.
The Lewis & Clark Regional Water System installed the final section in the system’s 310-miles of transmission line near Sibley, Iowa…with a “Golden Pipe.”
Executive Director Troy Larson led the celebration.
Even though the pipeline is in the ground, Sibley won’t be connected until October when the meter building is completed.
Madison will be connected early next month.
