SDGA Junior Championship @ The Bluffs GC (Vermillion, SD) [Day 1 of 3]

Vermillion, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – After the first day of the three day tournament of the SDGA Junior Championship @ The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion, Aberdeen’s Olivia Braun is the leader in the clubhouse in the girls 16-18 age bracket.

Braun was flawless on the front nine, netting a birdie on the par five second hole, a birdie on the par three fifth & a birdie on the par five sixth hole. Even with a pair of bogeys on the back nine, she picked up seven par’s and finished the day one under and a 71 for the day. Lauren Knapp from Rapid City shot an even par 72, good for second place. Miller’s Jayce Pugh is two strokes off the lead, carding a one over 73 and in third place; while Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink shot two over and a 74 for the afternoon and within striking distance of Braun for the next two days.
