ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Tuesday’s Brown County Commission meeting, the commissioners discuss the concerns residents of the Warner Township had regarding the culvert near the Mansfield area. Commissioners Duane Sutton & Mike Gage assessed the situation last Thursday.
Brown County Highway Superintendent Dirk Rogers explains that milling still needs to be done on the highway.
Rogers was asked what sized pipe they are looking to put in.
Resident of the region, Mark Bossly offer a suggestion of going with 36″ pipe instead.
Commissioner Duane Sutton talks about an easement that was to be in the works for that area.
On Tuesday afternoon, Commissioners Duane Sutton & Mike Gage got feedback from residents of the Warner Township.
One of them was Tom Leonhardt who provided details to everyone in the audience.
Leonhardt provided pictures and talks about pictures provided from sections of the township.(1:21)
Leonhardt felt concern about some of the legality issues involving this.
Rogers reminds everyone that the Highway Department can’t prepare for extreme emergencies.
Commissioner Sutton emphasize that this will not have an impact on the upcoming highway budget.
This has been issue here in this region since South Dakota’s statehood.
