Senator Thune reflect on Inflation Reduction Act passed by Congress in 2022

WASHINGTON, D.C.(HubCityRadio)- As we approach the two year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act passed by Congress in 2022.  Senator John Thune on Thursday went to the floor of the U.S. Senate to offer his take on what that has done for the American people.

Thune talks about how the bill hasn’t combat inflation and quoted President Biden said was the real intent of the bill.

Thune also talked about one of the goal of the bill was to lower the deficit will instead lead to an increase in the deficit.

Thune criticizes some of the New Green Deal proposal included in the act.

Thune also talks about the pharmaceutical industry that was suppose to be impacted by this act.

The bill was passed and signed into law on August 16, 2022.  Senator Thune now estimate the cost to the American people of about one trillion dollars.
