Vote No in NOvember launch campaign Monday

SOUTH DAKOTA(Press Release)- Vote No In NOvember, a South Dakota Ballot Question Committee campaign, officially launched today. Vote No in NOvember says it aims to help South Dakota voters make more educated choices and clarify the confusing multiple ballot issues with their Vote No in NOvember message. The campaign covers four ballot issues: Amendment H (California-styled elections), Referred Law 27 (loss of property rights and local control), Amendment G (abortion through birth), and Initiated Measure 29 (recreational marijuana) and urges a “no” vote on all four.

South Dakota business owner, Chris Larson, Chair, Vote No SD, which created the Vote NO In NOvember campaign, said,  “The South Dakota voters have been and will be bombarded by the powerful influence created by incredibly wealthy donors, tens of millions of PAC dollars and professional marketing companies across the United States.” Larson went on to say, “With over thirty years in starting and running my own local business, I recognize slick marketing and sales pitches being put on consumers. Seeing all this, I knew I had to step up and do something.”

The potential damage to fellow South Dakotans is a huge concern of Larson and the Vote No In NOvember campaign. “The attempted changes will bring decades of harm to our state with painful side effects for everyone,” Larson said. “This November, ballot measures will have voters decide the fate of our great state. Each one of these four ballot issues has the potential to fundamentally change the lives of every South Dakota citizen for the worse,” he said.

Vote No in NOvember says the four ballot topics to vote no on cut across all party lines. “This isn’t a single-party issue,” Larson said. “No matter the political party, South Dakotans would agree that California voting systems can stay in California, abortion through birth is too extreme, landowners do not want their land taken, and that there’s nothing “recreational” about the damages and heartbreak caused by marijuana.” Larson concluded by saying, “Please join us in spreading the truth about the dangers of these four toxic measures. If you want to preserve South Dakota as a beautiful, safe, and inspiring place to live for your children and grandkids, we can do that with a Vote No in NOvember.”
