PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- July was the first month of the year without enplanement numbers being split between two hubs out of Pierre.  Airport Liaison to the Pierre City Commission Jamie Huizenga says boardings last month were solid.

July 2022 enplanements hit 1687, which was the best month of that year.  July 2023 saw 1440 enplanements.  So far this year seven-thousand 506 passengers have used Pierre Regional Airport. That’s 843 fewer than the same time last year.  Pierre is averaging one-thousand 72 passengers per month so far in 2024.
