ABERDEEN, SD (Press Release) – The 94th Dakota Open presented by C-Express Convenience Stores will be played August 24 & 25 at Lee Park Golf Course and Moccasin Creek Country Club. The Dakota Open is one of the oldest tournaments in the country dating back to 1928, older than the Masters Tournament, and has become an Aberdeen major tradition. Some of the great players from the region and many South Dakota Golf Hall of Fame members have won the D.O.
Entry is open to all players and there are four divisions: Open – any age, Pre-Senior – 40-54, Senior – 55-64, and Masters – 65 & older. To register, a player or group makes their own starting time for the first day of play based on the division they wish to compete in. Pre-Senior, Senior, and Masters Division players must register at Moccasin Creek where they play round one. Open Division players trying to make the Championship Flight (low 16 gross scores from round one) must register at Lee Park where they play round one. Open Division players not trying to make the Championship Flight may register and play round one at either course. Entry includes one round at each golf course, lunch each day, and prizes.
