USD WBB Announces Non-Con Schedule

VERMILLION, SD (GoYotes.com) – Head coach Carrie Eighmey is pleased to announce a 14-game non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season, highlighted by neutral site matchups with Nebraska and Arizona State and the season and home opener against St. Louis.

The first game on the Carrie Eighmey era at South Dakota is in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center on the opening day of the season, as the Coyotes host St. Louis. The first road trip of the season is at the end of the opening week at Air Force.

The Coyotes don’t leave the state of South Dakota again until the week of Thanksgiving after the trip to Colorado Springs. The Coyotes host Loyola Marymount, Bellevue University, and North Carolina Central in that time frame. The lone matchup away from Vermillion is in Sioux Falls against Nebraska and former Coyote head coach Amy Williams.

The week of Thanksgiving, the Coyotes are headed to Nashville for a pair of games, first against Arizona State, followed the next day by Dayton. Following the trip to Nashville is the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge. USD’s two opponents in the challenge are Montana State and Northern Arizona. The Coyotes are in Bozeman, Mont. on Dec. 4 and at home against Northern Arizona Dec. 7.

The final road game before Summit League play is to Cedar Falls, Iowa and a showdown with Northern Iowa. The last three home non-conference games are Wyoming, Mount Marty, and South Dakota Mines.

The Coyotes have three opponents from the 2023-24 season on the schedule again. USD went 3-0 against Northern Iowa, Loyola Marymount, and Mount Marty last season.

The Summit League conference schedule was announced last week, with the Coyotes opening play in Denver on Jan. 2 and wrapping things up at home against the Pioneers on March 1. The Summit League Tournament at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center is scheduled for March 4-9, 2025.
