Attorney General Marty Jackley update on sex trafficking at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

PIERRE, S.D.(KELO)- Law enforcement agencies teamed up to spread the net on sex trafficking during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Their haul was seven arrests…about average for Rally week.

But, Attorney General Marty Jackley says one unusual aspect was the fact that all seven suspects are from the immediate area.

Jackley says the Rally provides a great opportunity for law enforcement agencies from all levels to work together.
But, by working together, Attorney General Marty Jackley says local, state and federal law enforcement agencies held the drug trade in check…with one notable exception.

Overall visitor numbers were down for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this year.
