PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- Sept. 1, 2024, is the application deadline for an agricultural leadership academy being launched in South Dakota.

Eric Jennings is a past president of the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association and chair of the SDCA Leadership Academy Steering Committee. He says they’ve partnered with South Dakota Corn and Farm Credit Services of America.

Jennings says leaders in the cattle business must understand the unique challenges faced by all segments of the industry

Jennings says the program will drive sustainable growth and positively impact the beef production industry by equipping participants with critical skills, knowledge and networks. He says participants in the Leadership Academy will connect with fellow professionals, industry leaders and potential mentors.

Again, the application deadline for the SDCA Leadership Academy is Sept. 1.

To be eligible, applicants must be members of SDCA, at least 21 years old, and actively involved in the South Dakota cattle industry.
