Fatal shooting reported in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- A Sioux Falls youth is dead and two people are charged in an early morning shooting near 7th and Summit earlier this week.

Police Lieutenant Aaron Neiberg (NYE-berg) identified 33-year old Savannah Randle as the first suspect.

The second suspect is a juvenile, so officials can’t release any information on those charges.

Lieutenant Neiberg says the shooting was originally reported as an accident that resulted from teens handling a gun.

He says some of the witnesses were told to leave the scene but they were later identified and interviewed.

The victim died a few hours after the shooting at a local hospital.
