PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- Enplanements remain solid at Pierre Regional Airport.  Airport Liaison to the Pierre City Commission Jamie Huizenga presented August enplanements to the Pierre City Commission Tuesday night.

Huizenga says the best months for enplanements are ahead for Pierre Regional.

August was the fourth best month for enplanements in Pierre.  June leads the way with one-thousand 284, followed by July at 1272 and May at 12-hundred.  August 2024 matched August of 2022 with exactly 1169 enplanements.  August 2023 was best at 1257.  Through eight months, 2024 is trailing 2023 enplanements by 931.  By this point last year, over 96-hundred passengers had used Pierre Regional Airport.
