PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The Let Freedom Fly International Airshow held on Memorial Day weekend is long over, but the show had one more trick to perform.  A trick that was a treat for the future of the Capital Area United Way.

Jim Peitz helped present the check during a celebration of the airshow’s success at Mustang Aviation in Pierre Wednesday night.  Capital Area United Way Board president Laura Ringling says they have a long range vision for the donation.

Executive Director for the Capital Area United Way Becky Spoehr says she’s excited for what the donation will be for the future of the United Way and the agencies served by the organization.

Peitz also thanked major donors and sponsors of the airshow, many of whom gave five-digit donations to make the airshow possible.  He also thanked many of the people involved in the airshow including the events board and many volunteers.
