LEOLA, S.D.(AberdeenInsider)- Leola School District officials determined that there was no risk to the safety of students after completing a threat assessment on Monday, Sept. 16, according to Superintendent Domenic Paolo.
Paolo said the school completed a threat assessment and deferred further comment to authorities.
McPherson County Sheriff David Ackerman confirmed that the sheriff’s office was called to the school.
“The school followed their protocols, and I believe things worked as they should,” Ackerman said. “We’ll continue to monitor the situation.”
