PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- A band of brothers is rumbling across the upper Midwest this week raising awareness of drug education and remembering one of their own. The Red Ribbon Motorcycle Ride is stopping at the South Dakota State Capitol Wednesday afternoon.
Emily Murray with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Omaha Division says there is a reason why state capitols and not a state’s larger population centers have been selected for destinations on the Red Ribbon Motorcycle Ride.
Murray says the hope is that the Red Ribbon Ride can help start difficult conversations about drug use and education.
The tour will take riders to Des Monies, St. Paul, Bismarck, and Lincoln. It started Tuesday in Omaha and will end Thursday in Lincoln.
