ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Protect SD Kids did a forum at the K.O.Lee Library explaining their opposition to IM29 which would legalize recreational marijuana.

President of Protecting SD Kids, Jim Kinyon talks about what proponents of marijuana is trying to accomplish.

Kinyon talks what the medical field has to say in regard to marijuana for medical use.

Kinyon discuss the claim of money this would generate for the state of South Dakota.

Kinyon talks about how in the past they were able to defeat these type of measures in the past at the ballot box.

Kinyon talks about how many people are being arrested for marijuana use only.

Kinyon tells the citizens what he believes the impact of passing the measure will have on children if passed.

The measure only allows for those over the age of 21 to gain access to recreational marijuana.

Kinyon goes after the legislative task force addressing the issue of marijuana in the state.

Kinyon also responded to allegation made by Matthew Schweich of South Dakota for Medical Marijuana Laws about ads airing on social media.

Short term goal of Protecting SD Kids is to defeat IM29 but when asked about the ultimate goal is regarding medical marijuana, Kinyon responded with this.
