ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release)—The Salvation Army is set to be the beneficiary of The Sioux Council Boy Scouts of America’s Scouting for Food Fill a Tent event.

WHAT: Area Boy Scouts are hosting this special event, in which the general public is encouraged to bring nonperishable food items and drop them off at any one of two grocery stores in Aberdeen this coming Saturday. Desired food items are as follows: soup, chili, stew, cereal, canned fruit and vegetables, canned milk, canned meat, pasta/pasta sauce, and rice. (No frozen items or items stored in glass, please.) Scouts will be present outside both grocery stores as they work to fill a tent with the donated items, all of which will go towards filling the pantry shelves at The Salvation Army of Aberdeen.
