ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Monday night’s Aberdeen City Council meeting, the council discussed bid request for improvements to the water reclamation plant.
Aberdeen City Manager Robin Bobzien talked about the bid that was submitted.
The bid was over $91.7 million from PKG Contracting from Fargo, N.D.
Bobzien explains why the improvements are needed.
Supervisor Amanda Fischer discuss what the purpose of the bid is for starting with base bid at over $78 million.
Fischer explains that part of the bid is for demolition purposes.

City Finance Officer Jordan McQuillen talks about a potential rate increase on the water bill if the project is approved.
The city council tabled the bid for now. They plan to bring it back up on Monday, November 18th’s city council meeting. Prior to that, they will hold a work session that day at 4pm to discuss financial options for this project.
