Ringneck Energy looking for loan to expand rail storage areas

ONIDA, S.D.(KCCR)- Ringneck Energy in Onida is looking to expand rail storage areas  to help ease track congestion at its Sully County plant.  During the public comment period of the South Dakota State Rail Board meeting, Commodity Manager Kevin Kjorsvik says they want to seek a loan for track expansion.

Kjorsvik says Ringneck is working with the Rapid City, Pierre and Eastern Railroad on easing that congestion.

Ringneck currently has a loan and is looking to extend that when they make formal application for a loan for the new project.  The track extension project is estimated at one-point-three million dollars.  The project was only introduced to the state Rail Board and no formal action on the request was considered as it was not on the meeting’s agenda.
