Legislative Research Council preparing for 100th session

PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The Legislative Research Council continues gearing up for the 100th Legislative Session and that includes the computers and technology needed to make sure legislators can do their jobs.  L-R-C Chief Information Technology Officer Elijah Rodriguez says the off season has been productive.

The changes mean legislators can get more done away from the Capitol.

Rodriguez says they have also updated the heart of the entire I-T system.

Rodriguez’ team continues to test both L-R-C staff and legislators with monthly phishing tests.  In the last test, L-R-C staff had a failure rate of 12-percent while legislator’s have a failure rate of one-percent.
