Attorney General Jackley sending bills to legislature for them to consider

PIERRE, S.D.(KELO)- The 100th Session of the South Dakota Legislature kicks off next Tuesday.

When it does, Attorney General Marty Jackley will be ready with a package of bills for legislators to consider.

The package includes a measure to create whistle blower protection for state employees who may observe suspicious activities in state government.

His office is investigating and prosecuting several fraud cases dealing with state employees…and that’s the focus of his proposals.

The Attorney General is hopeful the measures will help restore public trust in state government

He also has proposals to address human trafficking and corrections.
