ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Commission on Tuesday received the 2025 Assessment Plan from Director of Equalization, Gene Loeschke(Les-Key).

Loeschke talks about updating the cost manual for 2024.

Loeschke discuss issues they are watching with 2025 legislative session starting with the summer study dealing with property taxes.

Loeschke also talked about two bills they’re looking at.  One bill deals with the potential increase in sales tax to offset decrease in property taxes.

Another bill deals with the issues of drones.

No formal action was made by the commission following the report.
