LINCOLN, Neb. (WNAX) – The Nebraska Supreme Court ruled Friday that a November 2017 decision by the Public Service Commission approving an alternate route of the proposed Keystone XL pipeline should stand.
Brian Jorde, an attorney with the Domina Law Group represented landowners who challenged the PSC decision.
Jorde says the ruling doesn’t mean construction of the crude oil pipeline will start anytime soon.
Jorde says while the Supreme Court ruling ends their efforts in state courts, they are looking at other legal options.
The pipeline was first proposed in 2008.
