NSU Swimming Wraps Up Regular Season W/ School Record

Aberdeen, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State women’s swimming and diving team lost to Augustana, 214-64, and Southwest Minnesota State, 185-83, in a double dual on Friday night. Throughout the meet, Haley Osborne secured a first-place finish in the 200 free, and Jacie Flockhart set a new school record with a score of 426.05 points.

 

WOLVES HIGHLIGHTS

  • Northern State kicked off the day with a fourth-place finish in the 200 medley relay, recording a time of 1:58.03. Relay members included Mia Fursedonne, Emma Beavers, Emma Moore, and Mazie Finch
  • Haley Osborne placed first, followed by Brianna Back in third, with times of 1:59.60 and 2:04.90, respectively, in the 200 free
  • Jacie Flockhart finished in second place in the 1-meter dive, scoring 426.05 points and breaking her own school record
  • Laila Gordillo placed fourth in the 100 free with a time of 56.71
  • In the 200 back, Osborne and Finch finished third and fourth, with times of 2:17.83 and 2:22.83
  • Abbegael Nynas placed fourth in the 500 free with a time of 5:32.39
  • Back rounded out the individual events with a third-place finish in the 100 IM, recording a time of 1:05.31
  • The Wolves closed out the day with a third-place finish in the 200 free relay, with Fursedonne, Finch, Moore, and Osborne clocking in at 1:44.95

 

UP NEXT

Northern State will head into the NSIC Championships to close out the season. The competition will take place in West Fargo, N.D., from Wednesday, February 12, through Saturday, February 15.
