PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Monday morning, Governor Larry Rhoden was officially sworn in as the 34th Governor in South Dakota history.

Chief Justice of the South Dakota Supreme Court, Steven Jensen delivered the oath.

Governor Rhoden is honored to be the next governor in the state.

Rhoden told everyone he was ready to take over as governor the moment Kristi Noem was ready to move on.

Rhoden was asked about his plans to run for governor in 2026.

Rhoden is expected to name his Lieutenant  Governor over the next few days.

Governor Rhoden is scheduled to speak to the legislature at 1:30pm Tuesday.
