ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The House Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee had HB1026 on their docket Tuesdy. HB1026 make an appropriation for the replacement of the Richmond Lake dam and spillway, for the general maintenance and repair of other state-owned dams, and to declare an emergency.
Commissioner of Schools & Public Lands Brock Greenfield provide history of the dam.

Representative Spencer Gosch of Glenham moved to send the bill to Joint Appropriations Committee.
Representative Peterson expressed opposition believing that Brown County should be more involved in this.
The bill was passed on a 11-2 vote and now moves to Joint Appropriations Committee.
