YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX): The backers of a petition drive for a constitutional amendment to allow a casino in Yankton are backing away from the plan.

Nancy Wenande, C.E.O. of Yankton Area Progressive Growth, says they want to focus on other developments now.

Wenande says there needs to be a change in attitude from state government.

The proposed constitutional amendment was defeated twice by the legislature.
