South Dakota Senate passed HB1188 with amendment

PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- South Dakota Senate on Monday debated HB1188.  The bill allow nonresident military members to purchase three-day temporary nonresident waterfowl licenses.

First thing they had to do was place it on the calendar to be debated as the Senate Military and Veterans Committee was split 3-3 on the vote last Thursday.  The bill clear that hurdle on a 31-4 vote.

Senator Michael Rohl of Aberdeen was the prime sponsor on the Senate side and offered an amendment to put a limit on those licenses.

Amendment was approved by the Senate.

Rohl talks about the purpose of the bill.

The bill passed on a unanimous 35-0 vote and will return to the South Dakota House due to the amendment Senator Rohl added.
