WASHINGTON, D.C.(KELO)- U-S Senate Democrats filibustered their way to defeating a bill to prevent transgender women from playing in women’s sports this week.

Senator John Thune led the charge on that effort, saying Title Nine funding is under attack.

Former SDSU women’s basketball star Myah Selland is criticizing Senator Thune for his position.

She says the bill is dehumanizing and harmful toward trans youth.
