ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Dakota Roots Health Care opened their doors for business on Wednesday in Aberdeen.

The clinic is located at 1206 South Main Street.

The business was founded by the following practitioner:  Kelsey Geditz(Ga Ditz), Lindsay Peterson, and Jenny Schaeffer.

The business described themselves as the following:

Kelcey Geditz Bio:
“Kelcey Geditz is an AANP Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and has over 15 years of healthcare experience.  Kelcey completed her undergraduate degrees from Presentation College in 2011 and 2015, and completed her Masters of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in 2020.
Kelcey has a broad range of nursing experience including geriatrics, pediatrics, public health, prenatal education, post-partum care, and inpatient medical, surgical, and critical care.  Kelcey sees patients of all ages and a wide range of health care concerns with special interests in diabetes management, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, fibromyalgia, and thyroid disorders.
Kelcey was born and raised in Aberdeen, where she continues to reside with her 2 young boys, Weylyn and Walker.  She is proud to continue serving her local community with their health care needs.”
Jenny Schaeffer Bio:
“Jenny Schaeffer is an ANCC Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of healthcare experience. She graduated from Presentation College with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2001. In 2008, Jenny graduated with her Master’s of Science in Nursing with a focus on Leadership & Management in Nursing from Walden University.  Since this time, Jenny has worked in clinical roles caring for patients in the hospital and clinic settings as well as teaching future nurses and in leadership roles as Nurse Manager.
In 2016, Jenny graduated from South University, Savannah GA, with her Master’s of Science in Nursing with a focus on Adult/Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She has experience caring for patients across the lifespan and has special interest in Geriatrics and asthma and allergy.
In her free time, Jen enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. She and her husband Patrick have five children –Bailey, Dawson (Abbie), Tyler, Kalin & Rylee. She looks forward to caring for you and your family.”
Lindsay Peterson Bio:
“Lindsay Peterson is a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner with a lifelong passion for healthcare. Her journey in healthcare began at the age of 14. Lindsay earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Presentation College in 2011, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SDSU, and her Master of Science in Nursing through Walden University in 2020.
Throughout Lindsay’s nursing career she has provided care across a wide range of specialties within rural healthcare—including medical/surgical, oncology, and perioperative services. In 2020, she began practicing as a nurse practitioner, serving patients at both Woodrow Wilson Keeble Indian Health Service and Modern Day Health Care.
A proud U.S. Army National Guard veteran, Lindsay served from 2006 to 2014 and continues to carry that sense of service into her professional life.
Outside of her work, Lindsay is a devoted wife to her husband John, and the proud mom of two energetic boys, Dominic and Kru. She enjoys reading, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors.

The location can be referred from either Sanford or Avera St. Luke’s hospital and can use the Avera Insurance plans but hope to be affiliated with other insurance companies in the future.

The clinic encourage appointments and walk-ins will be accepted.

The hours of operations is Monday-Thursday from 8am-5pm and Friday from 8-12am.
