Wolves SB Swept In Duluth & St. Cloud

Duluth, MN (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University softball team held a lead in each contest of their Friday doubleheader with Minnesota Duluth, however fell twice to the Bulldogs. The Wolves notched three runs on seven hits in game one and one run on four hits in game two.

  • The Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead through the first four innings of action and the Wolves stormed back in the fifth
  • Kennedy Boyer kicked off the fifth inning rally with a walk, followed by a single down the left field line by Aune Boben
  • Boyer scored on a double to right center by Eden Ford and Boben scored on a sacrifice fly to right by Madi Jones
  • Tevan Bryant plated Ford on a single to left for the Wolves final run of the inning and ultimately the contest
  • Duluth captured the lead again in the fifth with two runs and added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth
  • Boben led the offense going 3-for-4 with a run scored, while Bryant went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a walk
